Branded Marquee Care Section

Signwriting is applied to marquee canopies and wall panels using a variety of methods.

Fortunately, care for signwritten surfaces is the same for vinyl paints, inks and screen printed images.

HOW TO TAKE CARE OF
YOUR BRANDED MARQUEE

SETTING UP & STOWING YOUR MARQUEE

  1. Never use more than two people to erect or take down your branded marquee.

  2. Always peg the marquee to the ground and never leave it unattended.

  3. Stow the marquee in its carry bag if a storm approaches.

  4. When folding down, stop when about three-quarters folded and pull the centre part of the canopy up about 600mm out of the middle.
This enables the marquee frame to fold more compactly and prevents jamming and cutting of the canopy by the scissor bars.

CLEANING AND SIGNAGE CARE
Side Panels

  1. Wherever possible do not fold signwritten panels; instead, always roll panels up from end to end.

  2. Avoid folding panels across image areas.

  3. Never lay out on bitumen or concrete; grassed areas are acceptable.

Cleaning of signwritten areas

  1. Do not use harsh chemicals like bleach, or petroleum-based cleaners such as mineral turpentine, methylated spirits or thinners.

  2. Wash only with a soft cloth mop, with water and Morning Fresh liquid.

  3. Do not stow or store a wet marquee.
Stretch it out to air-dry before storing.
